The SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS game has unveiled Episode 1 of its animated prologue, titled Dark Beginnings, in anticipation of the game’s release released tonight, although the specific time remained uncertain.. This first episode, named Shadow and Maria, explores a story set 50 years ago, highlighting the characters Shadow, Maria, and Dr. Eggman.
SEGA has officially launched the episode! You can now check out episode 1 of Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings, titled “Shadow and Maria.” Episode 2 is set to premiere in just over a week, on October 3rd. Be sure to watch the full episode below!

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS GAME
Sonic X Shadow Generations is set to launch on October 25, 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
PlayStation users who purchase the game on PS4 or PS5 will enjoy exclusive bonus extended prologue animations, featuring never-before-seen deleted scenes. Additionally, the game will introduce a fresh hub world for Shadow’s storyline, inspired by Sonic Frontiers, where players can unlock new powers and uncover hidden secrets.
Those who pre-order the physical edition will receive a Sonic Adventure Legacy Skin and Gerald Robotnik’s Journal, which provides insights into Shadow’s creation.
